Privacy policy
1. General provisions
1.1 This privacy policy sets out the rules for protection of confidential information about Users, including personal information, by the Controller of this information, that is the entity running the Store, hereinafter referred to as the Seller.
1.2 For the purposes of interpreting this document, the definitions included in the Terms of Service apply.
1.3 When running the Store, the Seller applies every effort to protect the rights of Users, in particular in terms of privacy protection and protection of information provided to the Seller and regarding Users. This information (including Users’ personal information) is duly secured, and the web forms used to send this information are protected by the SSL security protocol, which ensures that the data transmission process is encrypted. When processing Users’ personal information, the Seller shall pay particular attention to protection of such information from disclosure to and takeover by unauthorised persons, processing in violation of applicable law and its alternation, loss, corruption or destruction.
2. Personal information
2.1 When using the Store, a User may be asked to provide personal information necessary for the Seller to provide Services:
a. during registration in the Store (a name and a surname or a company name, a delivery address, a telephone number, an e-mail address);
b. when signing up for the Newsletter (an e-mail address);
c. when placing an order (a name and a surname or a company name, a delivery address, a telephone number, an e-mail address).
2.2 Providing any personal information by a User is voluntary. Providing the data listed in point 2.1. is necessary for the purposes set out in point 2.4.
2.3 Users can browse the Store and offers for Products without prior registration and provision of personal information.
2.4 Personal information of Users who are natural persons (including natural persons running a sole proprietorship) shall be processed by the Seller as the Personal Data Controller for the purpose of providing Services by the Seller via the Store, as well as for marketing purposes related to the Store operation, including Services and Products presented in the Store. With regard to personal information of Users registering in the Store using access data from Allegro or purchasing Products or Services in the Store using access data from PayU, the Seller shall receive the data from the Allegro Group or PayU, respectively, with the consent of Users and to the extent necessary for the Seller to achieve the proposes indicated above. Processing of the collected data is carried out in accordance with the provisions of the Act of August 29, 1997 on the Protection of Personal Data and the Act of July 18, 2002 on the Providing Services by Electronic Means. Providing personal information by a User is voluntary.
2.5 The User’s personal information may be disclosed to entities authorised to receive it under applicable law, including the competent judicial authorities. Users’ personal information may also be provided or disclosed – on the need-to-know basis – to third parties, including entities performing activities at the order of the Seller, related to the Agreement concluded with a Purchaser, including operators handling electronic payments for concluded Agreements or entities delivering ordered Products. Users’ personal information (including their e-mail addresses) may also be disclosed by the Seller to DreamCommerce in connection to running the Store, including the performance of contractual activities by DreamCommerce for the Seller, enabling the Seller to apply the store management tools.
2.6 The Seller provides Users, whose personal information is processed, with the implementation of the rights under the Protection of Personal Data Act, including the right to access and correct their own personal information, and the right to control personal information processing under the rules described in the Act.
2.7 Exercising the right to control processing of own personal information, a User shall have, in particular, the right to submit a reasoned written request to cease processing information based upon their particular situation, as well as to object to personal information processing when the Seller processes it when it is necessary to fulfil legitimate purposes carried out by the Seller or when the Seller intends to process it for marketing purposes, or when the Seller discloses the User’s personal information to a Personal Data Controller other than the Seller.
2.8 Confidential information about Users, including Users’ personal information, is protected by the Seller from disclosure to unauthorised persons, as well as other cases of its disclosure or loss, and from destruction or unauthorised alternation of the indicated data and information by applying appropriate technical and organisational protection measures.
3. Cookies
3.1 The Seller uses Cookies. The information collected with the use of Cookies allows for the customisation of services and content to the individual needs and preferences of Users, as well as to compile general statistics about the use of the Store. Disabling the option in the web browser to save Cookies does not generally prevent the use of the Store, but may cause some difficulties.
